Journeys Travel Group Booking Terms & Conditions
By booking travel arrangements with Journeys Travel Group, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Booking and Payment
- All bookings require a non-refundable deposit at the time of reservation, the amount of which will be specified based on the type of travel service booked.
- Full payment must be received by the due date specified by Journeys Travel Group. Failure to do so may result in automatic cancellation of the booking, and cancellation fees may apply.
- Payment can be made via credit card, bank transfer, or other approved payment methods. Any associated banking fees or transaction costs are the responsibility of the traveller.
- Bookings are only confirmed once Journeys Travel Group has received full payment and issued a confirmation notice.
2. Changes and Cancellations
- Amendments to confirmed bookings are subject to availability and may incur charges imposed by suppliers and Journeys Travel Group.
- Cancellations must be submitted in writing and will be subject to cancellation fees, which vary depending on the time of cancellation before departure and the policies of third-party suppliers.
- No refunds will be issued for unused services, late arrivals, or voluntary trip cancellations after departure.
- Refunds, if applicable, will be processed based on supplier policies and may take up to 12 weeks.
3. Travel Documents and Requirements
- Travelers must ensure they possess valid passports, visas, vaccination certificates, and any other necessary travel documentation required for their journey.
- It is the responsibility of travelers to check entry and exit requirements, including visa regulations, health protocols, and customs regulations for each destination.
- Journeys Travel Group is not responsible for denied boarding, refusal of entry, deportation, or any costs incurred due to failure to comply with travel requirements.
4. Pricing, Fees, and Surcharges
- Prices are quoted in the applicable currency and are subject to change due to exchange rate fluctuations, airline fare increases, fuel surcharges, and supplier price adjustments.
- Taxes and additional fees, including airport departure taxes, baggage fees, and local tourism levies, may apply and will be advised at the time of booking.
- Journeys Travel Group reserves the right to adjust pricing in cases of unforeseen cost increases beyond its control.
5. Liability and Responsibility
- Journeys Travel Group acts as an intermediary for airlines, hotels, transportation providers, and other travel suppliers. We do not assume liability for their acts, omissions, or service failures.
- We are not responsible for loss, injury, damage, delay, or additional expenses incurred due to force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, civil unrest, strikes, epidemics, or governmental actions.
- Travelers agree to indemnify and hold Journeys Travel Group harmless against any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their travel arrangements.
6. Travel Insurance
- Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover unexpected circumstances, including trip cancellations, medical emergencies, lost luggage, and travel delays.
- Travelers are responsible for reviewing and understanding their insurance policy coverage. Journeys Travel Group can provide insurance options upon request.
7. Health and Safety
- Travelers are responsible for assessing their health conditions and ensuring they meet any health-related entry requirements for their destinations.
- Journeys Travel Group is not liable for any health risks, illnesses, or medical expenses incurred during travel.
- It is recommended that travelers seek medical advice regarding vaccinations and health precautions prior to departure.
8. Special Requests
- Any special requests, such as dietary restrictions, mobility assistance, or preferred seating, must be made at the time of booking. While we will endeavor to accommodate requests, they are not guaranteed.
9. Complaints and Disputes
- Any complaints during the trip should be reported to Journeys Travel Group immediately so that reasonable efforts can be made to resolve the issue.
- Complaints that cannot be resolved on-site must be submitted in writing within 14 days of trip completion.
- Disputes arising from these terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of South Africa. Any legal proceedings must be filed within the jurisdiction of South African courts.
10. Force Majeure
- Journeys Travel Group shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of war, government restrictions, pandemics, or labour strikes.
- In such cases, Journeys Travel Group will endeavor to provide alternative arrangements where possible, but refunds or compensation cannot be guaranteed.
11. Data Protection and Privacy
- By booking with Journeys Travel Group, travelers consent to the collection, processing, and sharing of their personal data with travel suppliers for the purpose of facilitating travel arrangements.
- Journeys Travel Group complies with the South African Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and relevant international data protection laws.
- Traveler information will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes without explicit consent.
12. Age and Competency
- Travelers must be at least 18 years old to make a booking. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian or have appropriate authorization for travel.
13. Group Bookings
- The individual or entity making a group booking on behalf of multiple travelers assumes responsibility for communicating all booking details, terms, and conditions to the group members.
- The group leader must ensure that all payments, documentation, and requirements are met for each traveller.
- Journeys Travel Group is not responsible for discrepancies or disputes arising within the group, including last-minute cancellations, substitutions, or changes.
- Any changes to group bookings must be submitted in writing and may be subject to additional fees or availability constraints.
By proceeding with a booking through Journeys Travel Group, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
